Richard J. DeMasi, MD, FACS, RVT

Dr. DeMasi received his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In 1995 he completed his vascular surgery fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia and joined Norfolk Surgical Group - Vascular Division. As a result of the merger of two separate vascular surgery groups, Dr. DeMasi began practicing with Sentara Vascular Specialists where he serves on its board of directors. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general and vascular surgery.

Dr. DeMasi's interests include the management of diabetic vascular disease, wound healing, stroke prevention, and vascular education. He has co-authored and published numerous vascular disease and vascular surgery articles and has presented papers to many surgical societies.

Dr. DeMasi is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and also serves on a number of hospital advisory boards and committees.

Dr. DeMasi has admitting privileges at all of the hospitals in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake.
