F. Noel Parent, III, MD, FACS, RVT

Dr. Parent received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA. In 1989, after completing his vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Parent joined Norfolk Surgical Group - Vascular Division. As a result of the merger of two separate vascular surgery groups, Dr. Parent recently began practicing with Sentara Vascular Specialists where he serves on its board of directors. Dr. Parent is certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general surgery and vascular surgery. He is currently an assistant professor of surgery at Eastern Virginia School of Medicine.

Dr. Parent's interests include the management of diabetic vascular disease, wound healing, stroke prevention, vascular education, and thoracic outlet syndrome. He has co-authored and published numerous vascular disease and vascular surgery articles.

Dr. Parent is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, a registered vascular technologist (RVT), and serves on a number of hospital advisory boards and committees.

Dr. Parent has admitting privileges at all of the hospitals in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake.
